I made a kitchen using poplar for our house nearly 10 years ago. I employed a local chap who sprayed the doors and frames for me using a water based paint. The finish lasted well, but it has now started flaking off at the bottom edge of the frames and on the bead on the doors.
I have decided it is time to repaint and am going to remove the frames and crack on with it. I have my own Fuji sprayer now and would appreciate some advice from those in the know as to what is the best way to approach the job. Any tips on preparation (mechanical sanding / chemical etching of surface) and also what primers / finish coats to look at (oil / water based)
Many thanks
