Hi, I think I am pretty internet and forum savvy, but am having real trouble with this one. having just become the proud owner of a new CF741 pro machine, I was advised to join the group. Have done so, but when I log in, all I get is a stream of individual replies to various posts in chronological order, there does not appear any kind of forum headings etc like here. Consequently its almost impossible to navigate around and follow threads etc.

Am I doing something wrong? Anyone else here a member? Also, the mail box in the yahoo mail account that alos appeared to be formed when I joined is now full of email messages replies to all the different topics in the group....how do I stop this?

Why they dont just have a normal forum set up is beyond me in this day and age......

cheers, mark

Hello Mark, if you look closely you'll find that it's possible to reconfigure the Felder User Group layout so that it's listed by topics rather than individual postings. I agree, it's far from clear! Likewise, go into your account settings and shut off notification.

By the way, I also use the CF741 so try me if you've any problems, I might not always be able to help but it's worth a try!

I'm on my second felder, started with a BF5 combi now got a cf731 2005 vintage with the xroll table great machines. they only do the 310mm version in the five series now and struggle a bit for room so a new one was not an option. the ability to change spindle shafts on the 7 series is invaluable.

Again if you have issues or need suggestions always happy to help

Thanks for the helpful advice guys! I am sure to be taking you up on your kind offers in the not to distant future! its a bit of a steep learning curve, but as you say great machines and lots of potential. I have already made myself an extension table, clamping, mitre gauge and secondary parallel fence set up - will post some pics if you are interested....

Cheers, Mark

Hello Mark, I've looked for your new thread in Jigs & Tips but can't find it, am I missing something?

Thanks

No....apart from it was not there when you looked! I got called out midway through the post and have just finished the thread off...Sorry! Its there now!
