What dust extraction are you using with your drum sander /I have been using a Yorkleen twin motor wood vac on a run but my pipes are getting clogged up with the fine dust 'what do you suggest

Why worry ? As long as it doesn't get blocked up. I've got one of those - it's a rebadged Camvac - and used it with my large Jet drum sander. Worked a treat.

No problem with my 3hp cyclone and jet drum sander and it does not need ear defenders. It sucks up planer shavings, tablesaw dust, metal and wood dust from the bandsaw.
Whats the point of having a fussy collection system?

Twin motor Camvac sucking through a Super Dust Deputy Cyclone. The fine sanding dust (and there is a lot of it, especially as I use a 60g loading) soon clogs up the filter inside the Camvac drum: five minutes to take it apart, put on a mask and beat the filter cloth against a tree in the garden - Rob
