HI I HOPE IM IN THE RIGHT PLACE NEED HELP I HAVE JUST GOT MYSELF A 2ND HAND LATHE IT IS A RECORD POWER DML24X IT IS THE BLUE MODEL AND IM NOT SURE WHAT SIZE THE DRIVE CENTRE IS AS IT CAME WITH NO PAPER WORK THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE

It states that the head and tailstocks are 1MT. However, the lathe pictures is green, not blue - so you should check with the manufacturers to be absolutely sure.

Also, please don't type in ALL CAPITALS; it is annoying to read. (homer)

I'd go with the 1MT too, as record power site states DML series, and dont specify mk1 or mk2 etc. see here....

Hi Sammy,

I started with a DML36 but I am pretty sure that Record have used 1MT in all their DML and CL series lathes.

If you measure the size of the hole it should be close to 1/2 " at the front edge.

I'll go along with everyone else. My blue DMT was a 1MT.

You have yourself a good starter machine and if you get half the enjoyment out of yours as I had out of mine then I will have had twice the enjoyment than you :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Give Record Power a ring. They are generally very good at providing PDF copies of manuals for their tools.
