Dremel 4000 v dremel 4250

Hi, Anyone know the differences between Dremel 4000 and Dremel 4250?
I know there are different kits,I'm just interested in the machine itself

i looked into a lot of dremels comparisons in 2021 and 2022
and a lot of sites an youtube videos
in the end the 4000 Kit went on offer at amazon from around £189.99 down to about £132 - that decided me simply the price
I have used mine a few times and its been fine

Sorry no idea, if parts are available, to be honest if mine failed, i would probably just get a replacement dremmell as all the kit will still fit
someone elkse may know , but if failed in 3-4years who knows if the part will be available then

I went for a cordless and have appreciated the lack of a cable on many occasions. I've got an aftermarket 2nd battery which seems fine.

I was fortunate to win the 8260 platinum kit in Dremels Christmas giveaway on instagram last year, haven managed to use it yet but I've also got a dremel from way back when I was a teenager in 1993 and it still works.

So, it's nearly a year old,and you haven't used it yet!

The only problem I have with it is a possible break in the cable causing it to cut out now and then.

By the time I actually received it I think is was getting close to Easter so only actually had it about 7 months, I've no space for it in the makerspace yet so it's still in the house, plus I've not had cause to use it yet but do plan to do some pierced work on some turnings at some point next year now that I'm getting the makerspace laid out how I want it.

Looks very similar to the one I have Dremel 3000 type 1! The coupling inside has perished so,I think I can get one on ebay,as dremel don't have that part anymore!

One of the best things I have for mine is the right angle drive adaptor, very useful for getting into awkward spaces. It doesn't look very substantial, but I have given it some hard work and it is still as good as new. The quick clic cutting wheels are good too.

Cover - i got this after i used the dremel to sharpen a lawnmower blade - 18" - sparkes went every where , so thouth may reduce that , still wear glasses - NOTE only 1 , picture sort of shows there maybe 2 which i thought

Then i thought , i would get this kit of bits - as i was sure i would want somethign not in the main kit and sure enough i have used a few bits from this kit

hope you enjoy , part of my decision was the box, i have stuff in those plastic pressed cases things - and they never seem to last , i thought the BOX was good to have for the kit

I have been using an old mains power one on clock cases and polishing up small parts, then I saw the battery model advertised with a spare battery so got that and find it better to use than the MP one, and when I needed to use a small router cutter I made a frame to fit the Dremel, I ordered some springs for the bars and it took six weeks you guessed it from China, I had done my job and put it away till next time before I got the springs.

Yes,the case caught my eye as well! Have you used the flexi adaptor?
