Hello all ,

I'm return to woodwork after a long injury inflicted break and getting back to my workshop build. Before I go ahead trying to shift the heavy 6x2 floor I've made can I just double check that its DPC on the outside, then insulation and then a Vapour Barrier for floors and walls???

Paul, that is fine for the floor but I would suggest a breathable membrane on the outside of the walls if they are going to be timber clad so that any moisture that might get into the insulation has a route out.

If you are having masonry walls then heavy polythene on the inside surface then insulation then vapour barrier will be fine. An alternative to the heavy polythene dpm is synthaprufe or similar which is what I've used as some of my masonry cannot be accessed for cladding (awkward neighbour!)
