Spent the afternoon stripping back an old back door and frame to find that part of the bottom of the frame is rotten, but top part is fine.

Is there anybody out there near portsmouth who knows anybody good to fix it, as I am pretty confident but never do anything to do with the doors on my house just in case I mess up.
Thanks in advance

I had a similar issue with my back door -rotten at the bottom (I posted a thread on it a few months back). I eventually repaired it with ronseal wet rot wood hardener and ronseal wood filler - the whole repair was completed in a day as the hardener sets in 2 hours and the filler in 30 mins. Total cost less than £16.

Also, if you look at the thread, by the time I dug back to the good wood the damaged area was about twice the size of the original photo. I will take picture of the repaired door and add to that post (later today).

Its an easy DIY repair.
