Anyone ever made a homemade duplicator? Did a search but nothing comes up.
Was recently watching this video, and it made me want something similar. I have seen the versions online with a bolt on bed, a template and a flat base with handle and cutter that you freehand along the template, but i feel like having something run along a chain (or gears maybe?) must make for an even cut along the length rather than the imperfection of running a cutter along unevenly by hand...
I'd mainly want it for making consistent lengths of dowel and tapers, and i reckon it really wouldn't so hard to engineer something that does the same job...
