Hi. I'm a newbie. I was going to create a post asking if someone could make me a jointing part out of wood so I could extend the tubular support for a newly bought catering overshelf. But decided it was rather faffing about to do that and I could make my own joints if I had a wood lathe. I hardly gave much thought about it, and went and bought a Dirty Pro Tools 400W lathe for approx. £140, brand new.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
Motor 230V-/50HZ
Power 400W S2:30min
Max.Cutting Diameter 350mm
Max.Cutting Length 1000mm
Spindle Speed 4 speed
Spindle Thread - 3/4 Inch x 16 TPI
Turning Capacity Diameter - 14" (350mm)

At the moment, that's all I've bought. I've got some very dense wood I can turn to make the joints. Came from crates carrying stone. Does anyone have any comments? Thanks. Rich
