My BT portable phones are slowly giving up the ghost, I'm now down to 2 out of 4. To be honest they've never been that good, so I'm after recomendations for a decent set of say 4.

I understand that Phillips do quite decent phones as well as Panasonic, any others?

Cheers

Interesting, that. Me too. I've just started giving them to my grand-daughter to play with, replacing them (where possible) with cheapo corded phones. Good results at a tenner a time.

i have a few c470's from when the copmany i worked for went bust...
at the mo tho i can't unlock them so i can change the voip provider. (tho this is slowely being sorted)
i can say that they are good phones tho and would recommend them

Back in the day when I used to buy these things, amongst other things (cameras, IT, etc), it was Panasonic that were consistently good and you couldn't go far wrong - mostly true across most of what they produce. BT were mostly poor but traded successfully on their association with telephony. Other companies may have offered a better look or a few more features but Panasonic rarely faltered on reliability.

That was some time ago but, in the time since then I have used/owned a few cordless phones but find myself reverting to Panasonic. The current pair are as good today as they were when we first bought them about 5 years ago (maybe longer). I've not really taken an interest since then so would enter the market again with an open mind but would probably buy Panasonic again unless someone explained a really good reason not to.
