Dewalt dw625 dust kits old and new query

I have an old dewalt dw625e type 4. The number is 9740-01, which would make it a 1997 year model.

In 1998 dewalt changed the dust extraction kit. I can get hold of a kit but it is the newer style. Does anyone know if it will still fit a pre-1998 machine?
