Hi,
I’m planning on having a crack at a green oak porch this summer, I suspect some sanding/planning of the posts maybe required.
I’m wondering if the DeWalt DEW733 is man enough to plane a 150mm 8ft post. The spec suggests it will take up to 152mm x 317mm, however I’m concerned about the weight of a 150x150 oak post!
has anyone any experience with this thicknesser in this type of application?
I could just buy a cheap 7 inch planer, however i like the idea of having the thicknesser for other jobs.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks
Dan
