I seem to be having a problem with connecting the vacuum to my Dewalt D26410 ROS (the same as the Metabo SXE450).

I tried connecting the hose via the black plastic connector used for the fabric dustbag and it fitted snugly between the inner two rings but kept falling back out. I then tried it directly into the metal outlet and again it was snug but fell out all the time.

In the end I used a zip tie to hold it in but I keep thinking there must be a better way? Do proper dust extractors clip into the retainers on the metal outlet or are they all push fit? Is my vacuum hose simply an odd size?

I hope someone can enlighten me - the hose from my router table slips straight onto the Dyson I use and never moves but won't fit to the ROS.

I wish they'd standardise dust extraction fittings.

I think I used one of these

cut to the right size, it kinda worked but i'm certain it can be done better
