I still have 2 years left of the extended warranty.I found out why was the fence moving and the rack not clamped. There is a little bit of info on this online, enough to point me in the right direction. The clamping bar that runs to the front of the saw is stuck. It is so stuck that I couldn't nudge it by hammering, wd40, nothing. Normally I should get it out, clean it and the hole, lube it and put it back in. I left it full of wd40, hopefully some will get inside and help it glide out.
