My workshop is my garage and with the rainy season, when the wet cars are in, the timber seems to be damp. Is there a smallish dehumidifier that can be recomended please? FOUND THAT THERE IS INFO IN A SEARCH - SORRY, please ignor this.

I've got a Delonghi that can be rigger to chuck the water out of a pipe or into an enclosed bucket. If you're leaving it for long periods of time, you'll probably want to make sure whatever you have can do the same or it'll fill up and stop.

Think it was about £130 from ebuyer or somewhere like that.

B&Q have small ones for about £100, i have one in my workshop and it makes a huge difference and stops all of the cast iron beds from rusting up. most of them have both bucket and pipe discharge systems but its worth checking because you will be forever empting the bucket else!

Cars in a garage??? who ever heard of such an idea? ;)

I'll recommend the Ecoair DD3. http://www.ecoair.org/DD3-Classic.html Have used this for years and has worked really well. Being a desiccant type it works well in lower temperatures, has a continuous drain feature, and timer.

The machine also adds a little bit of warmth at the same time that is nice in the winter, alongside the drier air, the overall effect is surprisingly. While woodworking, I keep mine switched off to reduce fine dust getting ingested, even past the standard input filter. A hygrometer kept nearby lets me see if it has to be switched on at all.

Thanks Guys, information sufficient now. I have just returned from B & Q with a 2.4L capacity Bliss WDH-1012EC for £98. Looks as if it will do the job and does have a continuous drainage connection if needed. I will see how quickly the tank fills up and then decide if I want to fit a pipe, which would allow discharge outside. Need to look at my storage of timber a little more closely as it's not all seperated as it should be.

Mark, don't work so hard, really no need to keep your beds in the garage!
