Hello. Can anyone recommend what I should use as a dampening mat under my scroll saw? It would help to be able to reduce the vibration as I work in a wooden shed. I turned the speed up, not to cut but to see what effect it would have and at about 70% I thought my Windows would shake out!

On another matter now that I have a great new scroll saw I thought I would invest in some baltic birch plywood. I looked on slec which has been recommended before and there seems to be a large variance in price between the different widths. Is this normal and do they still represent good value?

Get an old paving flagstone and bolt or clamp it to that. It'll never vibrate again.
