Haha, I just went to bid in the last 30 secs on a LN beading tool, put in my maximum clicked through then disaster! It tells me my paypal account isn't linked to my ebay account and seller requires it.

So I click through the requirements as quickly as possible but too late. Then I look who won it and there he is, Lord Nibbo himself!

Well done mate, enjoy!

Mark

PS The next question is, are we in competition for his other sale item.....

:D

I was looking at that as well.

I've often wondered how many UKW members bid against each other on such items.

Cheers

Personally, I'd either make one, or buy the LV one...

Absolutely agree, and I will do at some point, but time is precious and cash available ATM so consumerism leads the way for the next couple of months at least

Cheers

I bid on his curved spokeshave as well, or I should say "Auction Sentry" did for me
But have no fear I'll leave the rest he's selling for you as I've run out of permissions for bidding from swmbo.

I've got a home made one, I really thought about buying the new LV metal one, but it ain't shiny

PS.... I really do need to fill my new cabinet

I have few Stanley 66's lurking about in various stages of undress, cutters always the hardest bits to find along with the curved fences.
I have had a lot of success with getting them re nickeled, they come up beautifully.
You have to be careful when looking as they crack at the corner for a pass time and its really hard to see sometimes.
Cheers

Got to post this :tool: to wind up TrimTheKing, it arrived today

Yes two new Lie Nielsen tools. the seller said they were mint condition. They are too, they've never been used. :) and the curved spokeshave came with a spare blade I suppose it must be a different grade steel.

ooo you'll love the boggs shave. I do mine. Have you seen Bogg's DVD? He shows how he came to that design and how to adjust it. I've lost my copy. If I find it you can borrow.

I've had a flat Boggs for a few years now wizer the new one is the curved face variety :) That's a nice offer so if you find it let me know, thanks.

Just had a bit of LN ebaying myself tonight, if the plane is as good as described then represents a nice little discount over retail
