Hi all i might have bitten of more than i can chew here but if you don't try you won't learn. I have taken a job of paneling a hallway and curved stairs the paneling is going to be painted so have a choice of using solid wood or mrmdf. The centre for the panels are either going to be the finished walls or an mdf panel with the rails and moulding attached to the wall. So i was looking to know a few things, What would be the best material to use, How will i bend the rails and moulding, How should i fix it to the wall with gripper adhesive and steel nails or plugs and screws

Mdf and kerf cuts.
I always go for screws, bolts and such, rather than adhesives.

I did one years ago in Kew . We fixed mdf panels to the walls and bendy mdf on the curved sections. The mdf rails and stiles were glued and pinned to the panels. The mouldings were kerf cut and bent and the really tight curves were just made up from lots of tiny sections and then twopac filled and sanded.
