Just finished this for my daughter

Are you planning on fitting a plinth ? At a quick glance,looks like it's floating 8)

Looking good! Nice to see it made from solid timber! The only comment I would make is about it floating.... It does need a plinth fitting really, looks strange with the gap.

the reason there is no plinth is because of the pipe casing below any plinth could only go part way across and we thought it would look odd.

also the bathroon scales can live underneath

End of the day with things like this its down to personal preference! If we could go to a shop and get things made the way we wanted, there would be no need for wood work. I imagine it probablyu does look best without the plinth considering the pipe casings, but I'd be tempted to see how it looks with a plinth, to match the pipe casings. As I already said looks a like a great bit of work regardless of the plinth!

How have you fixed it to the walls? Did you also have scribe it to fit?

Very neat work!! I bet your daughter is very proud of you... also like how the doors fit perfectly into the frame.

the cabinet is fixed to 20mm x 16mm battens on the wall with small angle brackets .scribing was not necessary ,
the whole thing is designed to be easily removed if required and fixed somewhere else

John great work. As said it floats. An idea at a little extra cost to cover the pipe box with some of the same wood as well as the skirting. Only a comment. Still good work though.
