Hi guys

just been given an old but rather nice aquavac in very good condition which has two flexible pipes to use with it one being 58 mm dia in its entire length with a solid pipe and hoover type head for sucking water up , the other flexible pipe is 30 mm dia in it length with one end 58mm being the male end to fit into the female socket on the machine itself used for dry hoovering .

I was wondering is there a male /female adapter kit to go from 58 mm to what ever size piping that would be used in small workshop dust extraction kits.

I use a Wicks workshop vac and a Triton dust bucket as my dust collection system. The vac hose plugs straight into the top of the bucket and there two ports with little blast gates so that you can collect from two separate sources eg. from the router table fence and the router dust spout below the table. It works reasonably well and is portable enough to move around my garage/workshop to where I need it. The Triton bucket has a built in filter which stops about 95% of the dust from ever reaching the vac. I added a washable filter which cost an additional £10 as the paper bag filters were useless. The dust bucket costs about £35 so it's not a big cost, since you got the vac for free.

Try your local vacuum cleaner store, ours stocks all those things.

Roy.
