Normally buy the bog standard ones from Screwfix when i make wardrobes.Just found them cheaper on Toolstation but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of what/where to buy?

Don't want really expensive ones as my next job is for my niece and i am working to a budget.Found basic 110 degree Blum ones for £3.50ish pair.Anyone know of better?

Thanks.

Hi i usually use hafele MEPLA hinges for a job like that. http://www.hafele.com/uk/

You have to buy the hinge and mounting plates separately. I would reccomend hinge part no 322.86.750 and mounting plate 322.15.540. These are good quality clip on style hinges. For 50 hinges (25 Pairs) these work out at around £30 +vat and reduce in price the more you have. The only downside is that there is £50 minimum order and £10 delivery unless you spend more than £100 and then the delivery is free. They also do good quality wardrobe fittings and rails etc so you should be able to make up an order.

I have an IKEA store a couple of miles from home and they sell pairs of Blum 120 degree hinges for £2.

I picked up my last lost from ebay 35mm ones worked out at £1-62 per pair including the postage against Toolstations £2-33 a pair.

Jons suggestion works out cheaper per hinge providing you need more than 25 pairs and spend over £100 on the whole order

Here are the Ikea ones. It might go against the grain to shop there but sometimes it's hard to beat their prices.

77p +Vat for blum module hinge from woodfit with trade discount, 94p + VAT for Cliptop.

Thanks chaps.

Jason, what proof do they need that i am in the trade, any ideas?I don't have a fax machine but SWMBO could do it from work.

Not that much from what I recall, I think it was just a bit of headed paper. You don't need to open a credit account with them I just use my business debit card. Once you login as trade it will display a different price list, usually about 40% less than the retail prices on all items and there are also further quantity discounts.

Just watch the carrage charges on small trade orders.

I got some of those but beware the carcase fixing screws need to be set back 35mm not the standard 37mm.... they also do the soft close attachment.

Price per single hinge, basic plate 19p, die cast plate with cam adjustment which I tend to use, 43p

That makes them more expensive than Toolstation doesn't it?
