Congrats to all who have won/run up (can you run up?) so far, some great projects.

Now then Rob, about that bribe. I have a pack of Dominoes around here somewhere... maybe some tiddlywinks too

Well done chaps..........and well done to the organisers too. Those of us who dropped out should promise to do better next year.

How about posting one picture from each of the winning entries in this thread?

Congrats again.

Mike

PS I'm a bit curious how you can have a 4 way tie for first......yet none of the three who don't win will come second? :?:

Having sat at the 'puter with a nice glass of two or red vino and packet of crisps, I've done some deliberating on the four pieces that tied for first place.
The four pieces were submitted from:

Ironballs
JohnF
Stef
Diderot

The winner of Intermediate section is:

Ironballs...salut! - Rob

Well done IB!

Well done to everyone who took part and the judges for the deliberating.

Hi

Congratulations to the winners. those who did not win should not be down hearted, all the entries were excellent, I found it hard to separate them.

The plane reference! How embarrassing. From now on could any topical jokes made in my vicinity be prefixed with (joke). As I said it hit a sore spot as my workshop colleague is commenting about my excessive use of hand tools.

Chris

Congratulations to the prize-winners and to all who took part! ...Even to those of us who failed to meet the deadline! :D

Looking forward to the a 2010 competition (?) already!

Well done IB!

Rob, can you please update your posts with links or pics to the finished entries

Well done IB........

I'm not looking to stir, but how is it that JohnF, Stef & Diderot were considered for first place, but none of them were good enough for second place?

Mike

I assumed that each judge picked a different 1st place, but that they all picked Seanbaby for second.

Mike - without wishing again to stir...'cos that's how I writ the rules back in May!..(majority decision in each category) That would have been the time to suggest alterations to the judging scheme...not now. The judgements stand and will not be altered - Rob

Lovely piece of work

Thank you, my daughter certainly seems happy with it.

Seconded, a lot of people have put a lot of effort into organising this to make it a success for the competitors.

I guess this means that next year I will have to enter as intermediate ;)

Tom - the winning entries can be seen on the Entries thread...that's what the judges were looking at - Rob

What a fantastic competition. Many, many thanks to all who took part.

It was unbelievably difficult to rank the entries as all of them were worthy of commendation and the degree of skill and effort shown was outstanding, I hope that everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did.

Mr.T, aeroplane jokes notwithstanding, it is the burden of the enlightened to be mocked. Sooner or later he will cotton on and then you can forgive him.

Goodies will be in the post on Monday.

Well done Frugal. Onwards and upwards!

You're kidding me!

I am flabbergasted, really.

Obviously I like my entry, but I looked at the others and thought it would be nice attempt but the others are a bit too good.

Blimey

Rob - will send you a PM as you'll remember I made a certain acquisition earlier in the year which is relevant to the prize in this category

Proper Job Damian. Advanced next year
