What we used to call "a five bob bit". We were given a 1952 new one each at the Coronation but my sister pinched mine and spent it on sweets. They weren't in circulation as such - a special issue.

I'm not being funny, if you know anything about this subject, could you put your feet on the ground and share?

You obviously missed my reply #13...

I do have both an opinion and knowledge - I used to collect and deal in coins and the second one I added was an 1895 Crown given me by my father (the 1st was a 1930 shilling bought off a 'mate') and I am also a registered silversmith - my first post was something of a joke and a stab-in-the-dark as to value, hence my apology at post #13
