Coffee tables

Hello all, I thought I would post some of the tables I made when I was at college

Flexy Birch ply and Sycamore.

Flexy Birch ply, Ash and Glass.

Both used the same former for the legs. I cranked the plys together with ractchet straps

Sorry no WIP pics.
If you look closely you can see two rails on the under side of that table.
When I butt jointed the top it warped like crazy so I clamped it flat and routed dovetail slots across the bottom. Then hammered dovetailed rails into the slots (candle wax to help.)
After this I routed the ends flush with the curve of the table top.
The table is in my Gramps front room and 7 years on the shrinkage is amazing. The rails stick out 4mm on each side!!
