How about this one (a Record No4)

HERE IS AN OLD RECORD NO.4 PLANE WITH WHAT I THINK IS AN UNUSUAL ITEM THAT FITS ON THE BLADE AND AS FAR AS I KNOW MAKES THE CUTTING EDGE AT 25 DEGREES. SORRY FOR NOT DESCRIBING IT SO GOOD BUT I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT TOOLS. THE BACK END OF THE PLANE ALSO HAS AN ANGLED BACK END WHICH I BELIEVE STOPS THE BACK END OF THE PLANE CATCHING YOUR WOOD AS YOU PLANE.

I can work out the 25 degrees (stamped on the Record iron) but what is the angled thing?

Another one - the entire toe has been broken off and brazed back on...
