Hi all,
As a newbie I am wanting to have a go at making a darkwood segmented rim with maple veneer between to adorn the upper rim of a lightwood bowl. I can make the ring but am unsure how to make the top face of the bowl blank a good enough join to attach the rim ?, I have come up with using the lathe to machine a rim and making a sacrificial block to mount the blank but think I am probably missing something more straightforward. Any advice would be appreciated. Best wishes to all.
