OK last ones I promise :lol: :lol: Just been playing with the design of the last one, and I had to do something in spalted sycamore!

This is the her part to the big one in the previous pic




This is another big chunky one. Its the first thing I've used Abranet on and all I can say is what amazing stuff, its fast, it lasts and it gives a fantastic finish

Excellent again John... that has to be the best batch of sycamore in history for the superb markings / spalt etc... its lovely stuff.

Guiness :shock: Stilton :shock: double wrongness there!
No NO, I'll fill it with a nice drop of wherry, thats proper Norfolk bear(thats how we pronounce it) and maybe a nice piece of brie and some green olives with the bread (much more civilized):lol: :lol:

What would that 'bear' equate to roughly ? is it a dark / heavy ale ?

Darkish, not too heavy but very morish

I like these very much. I have never in my time turning ever turned a goblet but these make me want to.

They are great.

Do you drink from them.?

I am going to have to make one for my red wine in the evening. Will have to be a suitable size though :lol: :lol:

If you are going to use it for red wine Mark make sure it is well coated with Melamine or Plasticote unless you don't mind it staining.

Thanks for the info. I wouldn't mind them staining. I reckon it would be a bit like a T Pot, better if only ever rinsed out instead of washed. I think the stain would add character and keep my good lady from using them

Just seems a shame to buy new glass ones when some turned ones would have more appeal.
