Have they changed the screen layout of the search results page? I used to have down the LH side a list of tabs/icons such as Pages from the UK, within last week etc but they have now gone. I've had alook in settings but I can't see anything obvious.

TIA

TechRadar's "trying our muscle memory" point is the reason I'm on the verge of abandoning Chrome and going back to Firefox, and just putting up with the longer loading times.

For what it's worth, to get to the "Pages from the UK" you need to perform a search, click the 'Search Tools' button on the right of the toolbar immediately above the search results, then click the newly-appeared 'The Web' drop-down and select 'Pages from the UK'.

Three clicks instead of one to do something that was perfectly good as a single-click sidebar option. Google are getting as bad as Apple with their recent "this is the right way to do it and if you don't like it you're just wrong" attitude.

Ah it would appear that Google have redesigned their user interface to the teensy screen on mobiles which doesn't have room for the lh sidebar. So if you have lovely large 27" screen with lots of space, you're out-a-luck.
