Cheap, second-hand, green, French (maybe?) pillar drill.

Hi all,

I've been seriously noticing the lack of a drill press in my workshop during my guitar build. I came across this recently:

It is (at the moment) very cheap, and looks relatively clean. It says something about being French made: perhaps, considering the pale green metalwork, Kity? I wonder if it'll be any good, or whether I'd be better off with a new, Chinese made drill a few times the price from Axminster. However, it would have to be a bench-top model, as my workshop really is tiny:

It may be originally French marketed but I think it's just one of the many badge engineered Far Eastern made clones. Probably still a reasonable small bench drill for woodworking.

Showing it on here won't have done your hopes for a cheap buy much good.

It looks a lot like one I bought from Netto a few years back for less than £40 I think.
