I see Screwfix have 500ml Colron at £6.84 compared to over £8+ for Liberon, Chestnut etc. Anyone tried it?

The very first bottle of D O i bought was Screwfix's own brand, which was ok but much prefer the Rustins one that i am now using.
Seems to give a better coating, and spreads better :?
Colron products are usually ok,but haven't used their oil.

Never Used it Shay ... but the only 'thought' I'd venture would be ................ having gone to considerable lengths to select a piece of timber, "fought" with it to produce the best I'm able to do on the machine, sanded and prepp'd it... the last thing I'd want to do is cover it in 'el-cheapo' finish,
and for the sake of a quid and a half... I'd go with Chestnut / Rustins / Mylands / Liberon.

But I guess you "pays yer money and takes yer chance" as they say.... the old adage will probably stand up though.. cheapest isn't always best
 :D :D :D :D :D :D

I've used Colron before (from B+Q) - was o.k., although took a few days to cure. I now use Chestnut Finishing oil, which is awesome!
Philly :D

I usually support my local shop and get Rustins for about the same price your paying. However went into Wilcos one day and got a litre of Rustins for about £8, which is nearly half what i was paying before.

I just got 150 litres of wax polixh off freecycle. (Think that's a gloat) Mosdt of it has been taken to the club 'cos unless I am related to Methusaleh I don't think I'll ever get through that lot.
