Well the boiler house was knocked on the head .I was like a sardine in a straight jacket . I am now getting a partition put in me shed which effectively will give me an 8' x 10' space which will be sheeted and made nice and cosy. I seem to be spending more time in shifting and looking at forums for simple patterns which turn out not to be so simple for me.  .
Hope to have the parts to convert the old machine to pin less blades this week . Saw a video on YouTube I think of somebody demoing a machine they manufacture I think it was their own design . Boy did it make some noise . I am not sure what the advantage of having a second saw will mean but as I have it I might as well have it working properly, I guess I could use it for outer cutting :?: suggestions would be most welcome .

Hi Eugene. Your new workshop will be about the same size as mine. I have to be careful what I buy in the way of equipment as space is very tight. I have most of the things I need. In a couple of weeks I am getting a router table with a new router that will add another dimension to my scroll saw work. I shall be making things on stands and I want to make a few clocks as well.

Having 2 scroll saws is a big bonus for me. I have a Dewalt that I use for cutting all the outside of my hardwood items which is my bread and butter things. I have a Hegner as well which I use for lighter work and things that are more intricate but it is brilliant for cutting out the words in the many plaques I make. As time goes on your will automatically know which machine will be best for a certain project you are working on. My own personal opinion of the Hegner is that it is not up to the heavy work like cutting 3/4 hardwood, it will do it but it struggles whereas on the dewalt it just takes it in its stride without complaining but for the puzzles and cutting out words the hegner is in a class of its own.

There are many simple patterns you can get free, some forums have a pattern library but if you type in free scroll saw patterns into the search box you will have quite a lot come up. I hope all goes well for you in the coming weeks, its an exciting time for you.
