I hope you will forgive this plug, but I have just heard that I am currently the only person to have signed up for his course at the end of April (Wed 30th April - Sun 4th May) which now might be cancelled if another taker or two are not found.

I met Gerald Adams at last years European Woodworking Show, and whilst impressed by his artistry as a woodcarver what really caught my interest was that he had recently started running specialist chair-making courses. Chairs are tricky and yet seem a sensible project for us amateurs with little space and limited tools.
Last summer I took advantage of one of Chris Tribe's 'choose your own project' tuition weeks to build my first chair to one of his designs:http://www.christribe.co.uk/index.php/making-an-oak-dining-chair/. Yorkshire was beautiful (and hot!) and thanks to Chris I exceeded my previous level of craft. I had hoped to have another great experience in Norfolk this Easter, learning from an expert, building a classic design and going home with the templates to build the rest of a dinning set. I guess if I have failed to persuade any of you I will be painting the hallway instead!
Even better, as the course runs Wed to Sunday, you only have to take 3 days off work. Hope to see one of you in Norfolk next month.
