Can can anybody tell me what this machine is? Can’t seem to find anything on it.

I am wondering if it is a tapping machine but the high speed would be wrong for that looking at the base there is a lot of sawdust so maybe a sander of some sort.

Heavy duty high speed drill press. The company made milling machines too but I think this is just a drill press.

EDIT: Yes it is a just a drill press, geared head model.

Thank you that looks like the closest thing I’ve seen! I assume it’s something that’s used for metal work rather than woodwork

see here, It seems to be a single head from a dual head machine, hence the home made base. and the original weight of 500Kg!

Ah well done @Sandyn , the short column did throw me a bit but I have seen some very short drill presses used in specialist machine shops. A head from a multiple head machine makes a lot more sense.

What are you going to do with it,,,would it make a regular drill press, I guess its a MT spindle?
