Following on from the Sagar Morticer, I'm also helping to restore a friend's Wadkin BAOS.

It was bought at auction as a pile of bits, yet is in good mechanical and electrical order, mere surface rust to deal with... Apart from one thing, it's missing its fence and guard assemblies.

Are there any kind people out there who would be willing to let us visit their machine to poke, prod, measure, photograph and generally fiddle with those two assemblies in order to make a set of drawings from which we can either manufacture new parts, or understand the design and operation enough to replicate it in a mechanism of our own design.

Equally we'd be keen to hear from anyone who has one which is breaking for spares (I know the idea is very sad, but happens sometimes), and has the fence and/or guards.

There has been one on eBay for a while for spares or repair but the description says the seller is open to selling individual parts. Seen it a few times over the past couple of months. Search wadkin and tick the used box, also look at completed listings with the same search.
