Hi all,
i am considering buying this so I can get my sharpening of my tools up to snaff!

Would folks recommend this! Any experiences?

Appreciated in advance

Hi
I would recommend the duo x-coarse / fine as a good starter stone. The x-coarse can be used for loads of things - including grinding primary bevel (still takes time) and flattening waterstones and the red fine is a very useful grade for lots of things - you can then use something else to polish.
Cheers

Ive got the large duo course /fine.I finish off using a japanese waterstone .As the previous poster suggests it is excellent for flattening the waterstone, very quick under a running tap.
