hello folks here are some of the burr oak hollow forms i've been working on recently.they are completely dry and oiled now.
i've included some before and after pics aswell so you can see the difference in form etc

A bit different to your usual work George. More my type of thing (what I like, not what I can do :lol: ) Usual quality though

I still reckon that these are lovely.

The movement in the wood from the burl/scarring gives a really nice organic look.
Looks a bit like they were grown rather than made (if that makes any sense!).
 
I really like the design and shapes
how thick/thin are the walls of the
forms? and how long did they take to dry?

the walls are about 3/16" thick- they take about 3-4 weeks to be fully dry.
