Wow, the Bedford junk shop got lucky there - lots of cash with no need to understand what he's selling!

The price for the first one - with no iron - was high enough - but the second is extraordinary.

To some extent that's the point of auctions (as long as you have two or more knowledgeable bidders)

I have to say, if I'd see either of the two planes in the first
post at more than 10 quid at a car boot, I'd have left 'em.

Shows how much (or little) I know.

I was watching that first one a couple of hours ago when it was at about £500, I thought that was ridiculous enough!

To pay that sort of money you've got to be either a dealer (prob USA) or so rich you don't know what to do with your money.

Not here yet :( my fault he's doing a few irons for me. $6 for a no.80 scraper blade and a few other bits and bobs.
