Could someone with better reference material than I have please see if they can date Brooke's Brothers?

Logo is a crescent moon and star(?)

I can find only W. Brookes a Sons

Thanks.

Roger et al,

I can verify directory listings for Brookes Brothers (Edward and John), edge, joiners', &c. tool makers, at Brunswick Works, 168 Eldon Street, Sheffield, from 1856 to 1862. Ken Roberts indicates finding some type of listing for them as late as 1865, but I've not been able to verify that, yet.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Don, most helpful.
