Brook Compact lathe

I have just heard that someone is selling a Brook (don't know if there's an 'e'e on the end!) lathe. Has anyone heard of this model, and if so, is it likely to be any good. I know, caveat emptor and all that, but would like to hear from anyone who at least has heard of the make :!:

The only 'Brook' that i have heard of is 'Brook Crompton' Who supply motors to 'Record Power'. I dont know if this was your firm before Crompton joined.
