I've had another go at making a band saw box on my scroll saw and thought I'd share my modest effort with you all. It isn't in the same league as the one Toesy made, so don't expect to much. I've called it a broll box because I'm fed up with using the term band saw box for something made on a scroll saw.
Anyway, here it is. You may notice a small gap under the drawers and that is where I drilled the blade entry holes for the internal cuts. I sanded the hole out afterwards to make it look like part of the design.

Thanks for looking

George.

That is far above a modest effort, nice work. =D>

Plus you have created a new scroll sawing term (Broll box making), I like it.

Take care.

Broll Box _ love it

Great work there, the design I really like,.

Take time these one do, cutting each layer and then gluing them all back together.

Well done !

Thanks all for your kind comments. Stooby, if you want to know how I went about making the box I have described roughly how I went about in a series of blog post I did as I made it.
The blog originally started out discuss pyrography, but just recently I have been giving updates on my progress with the scroll saw to which I am a newbie.

Here is the link if you are interested http://www.shirewriting.blogspot.com

Hey George,
You think it's a modest effort but I think you've shown that this type of box can be cut on a scroll saw to good effect.
Good job done and an inspiration for anyone wanting to make this type of box using just a scroll saw. =D>

I agree, a great inspiration and something to aim for when I learn how to cut a bit more accurately!

Hey Stooby, practise, practise and more practise is what's needed !
It really does pay dividends in the end.
