Hi. I'm a new member. I have an out of warranty SIP scroll saw, 01928 16" variable speed, The clamping lever for the saw blade which also increases & decreases the tension has broken at the pivot point and I need to replace it.The spare part is easy to buy but I am a bit aprehensive about removing the "all in one" plastic housing and just how difficult it might be to remove and re-insert the pivot pin. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have had a look at the SIP saw. Personally I think you will find it will be a piece of cake to replace. There are very few moving parts on a scroll saw. A lot of members on here have had parts break and replaced them without any undue problems. The biggest problem seems to be blade clamps. There are also members on here with the same saw as you have so no doubt they will be along during the week to advise. It is very quet on here at the weekends.

Hi Toytown a very warm welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about your problem.I am sure that one of the members will be along shortly to help,I may be of help in the future  .
