I placed my subscription around March 20th, still haven't received an issue, anybody else in the same boat?

The latest issue came out at the end of March. There's another due closer to the end of this month.

British Woodworking is bi-monthly, and Olly is right that the next issue is out in the last week of May. Please accept our apologies if that wasn't clear when you took out the subscription. It's our way of trying to keep the quality up!!! Do email if anyone has problems with delivery.

I must also apologise that some new subscribers haven't yet received their free Mirka sanding kit. There has been a problem with supply, I'm told, but kits were being sent out on Friday. I'm really sorry about that because it is a fantastic bit of kit, I think. Thanks for your patience.

The next issue, by the way, comes with a 16pp sample of our new magazine, Living Woods. I hope you enjoy it.

It appears Simon bought this subscription through newstand.co.uk. We have no direct dealings with that company. I think they buy magazines direct from local wholesalers and then send them out. They may or may not be offering a good service. It is certainly not our service though it is our magazine they are selling. Currently their price for a one-year subscription to British Woodworking is £25.83. Our price is £18.50. Perhaps we should be putting our prices up!

Right I have got to the bottom of this now. I took my subscription out with Newsstand who I found on the net from a link (can't remember where the link was from) I rang them today and they told me they purchase magazines from a wholesaler and then post them out to their subscribers. They haven't sent me a copy yet because they haven't had any yet. I also discovered they had charged me £30.67 nearly twice what it iwould have cost direct. They say they will refund me. Incidently Nick Gibbs has been very helpful he has rung me a couple of times and even sent me a copy of the magazine whilst he sorted out the situation. He doesn't do business with News Stand so he has no customer service control through them. The moral is subscibe directly I'm sure Nick will post a link and would have thought that in this situation it should be OK with the mods.

I must confess that I was getting a little worried. I had subscribed in cash at Yandles and not heard anything, I even sent Nick a PM but received no response.

Fortunately a package from Mirka dropped through my letter box yesterday, so I am assuming that my subscription is sorted
