Has anyone got the No 14 issue of the above mag, if so, is there any chance of a copy of the Steve Maskery article re planer blade re-grind jig details.
The details don't seem to be in any of his dvd's.

Thanks

Gerry

It is indeed on YouTube.

In case it helps, I got a really good price on knives for my 7" Kity recently, from Appelby Woodturnings.

To my shame, I haven't fitted them yet. I'm in the middle of cleaning up the planer, recently acquired, but DIY tasks come first, and it's been sitting there for a few weeks now. It lifts doleful eyes to me and whimpers a bit, whenever I go to the bench, so I should get on with it really.

Anyway, right now I can't tell you exactly how good they are in use, but they look great and are most certainly sharp.

Cheers,

E. (sucking a finger...)

Did someone mention my name? :)

It's not on my DVDs becasue it is more recent than the jig ones and has nothing to do with bandsaws or tenons...

But if there is anything that is not clear after seeing the freebie on YouTube, just drop me a line and I see if I can help.
