Bradson Pillar Drill

Hello all,

I might be able to buy a Bradson No 14 pillar drill:

Has anyone got any tips on what to look out for? I tried turning the handle but it stopped after moving a few mils, is there some sort of lock to stop it moving?

Broken teeth most likely, can you take a side plate off and have a look? What does the owner say about the problem?

Are the gears open like this? Some trash may have gotten in there in the teeth, look at it closely.
