Hi Everyone,

Some time ago my uncle gave me this hell's machine which is Kity Bestcombi :D I'm a hobbyist and I use it from time to time for my projects. Recently I found a short ad film on YT that shows a guy who is making a kid's desk using Kity Bestcombi.

Here's the film https://youtu.be/8k0CkR-a390?t=620

The thing that I'm interested in is how the guy is using the circular saw in order to make box joints. As the film is only a commercial it doesn't show all the details and I'm wondering how in the world the guy makes the blade start to move in that specific "octal" way that makes possible to cut a joint at once.

It seems that he put his hand somewhere to switch some magic switch and the blade started to make this "octal" movement.

I can't see any magic switch on my machine. Maybe some of you could help me to solve the riddle :D or maybe your French is fluent enough to translate what the background voice says (?)

Greets,

No idea what you mean by octal which is a number to base 8

Search on YouTube for box joint jigs there are lots to choose from.

He is using a wobble saw blade to cut the slots.

There is no magic button, he is using the kity box joint jig that comes with wobble washers for the blade. The kit was an extra and he hasn't gone into any detail about setting it up.

Thanks a lot guys! I spent an hour trying to find out how it works :D

1 post = 1 point of experience more!

Cheers!
