Box hardware

Will be starting a jewellery box project shortly. It's still in the design phase but I need to know what hinges etc to use. Can't find anything suitable on the Hafele site. I really need either a mini hinge that will open to around 120-140 degrees or a small stay of some sort. Anyone got a link to a site that specialises in this kind of hardware?

You are probably looking for quadrant hinges. If you want high end they are not cheap but for cheaper quality try Isaac Lord.

Dom - the other alternative is to use something from the Brusso range available from CHT, expensive but much better than almost anything else. I'll be using their brassware on all forthcoming projects - Rob

Woah! those Brusso hinges are a bit on the expensive side! I hope they are made of gold. They are so small as well.

Dom, I have just used the Isaac Lord hinges Brian posted, they are absolutely fine.

Many thanks to you all. I think I'll be going for a brusso stay at around £15 and will use some cheaper standard hinges at the back.
