Almost there.. just need to smooth the edges and prepare the top moulding.

here it is.. already full.

only glitches: when i glued it together and pressed it all, i couldnt get it square. somehow, the middle shelf + tongue was longer that it should have been (by 5mm..) i didnt spot this on the dry run.
i left it as it was, just to remind me to check next time ! (by the time i found the root cause, it would have been too late to take it all apart anyway !)

I finished it with a good sanding down and some wax.

Very nice. I've offered to do something similar but much bigger for my daughter who's now nearly 23...trouble is she's a magpie as far as books are concerned. If my idea of woodwork heaven is to have TLN's works close by and CHT in town then hers is to spend severial hours and all her spare cash in some grotty antiquarian bookshop :)...she still has all her childhood books racked out in her room and a little'un always had her hooter stuck in one...you can imagine what sort of state her room is in  - Rob

Nice work Stef, at the last count i had nearly 400 books stashed around the house woodbloke, and like your daughter always hed my nose in a book from an early age.My mam taught me to read before i started school.

thanks lads..
the top shelf: i routed two channels on the underside to fit the two sides.
the top "trims" are just glued on that top shelf.
