Book - Wood Machining A Complete Guide To Effective And Safe Working Practices.

I thought this book by Nigel S . Voisey,might be of interest to those who are starting out and pretty new to woodworking like me.
Published back in 1987, a little out of date but still has a lot of useful information regarding safe work practice.
Also covers making a cill using a sled on the thicknesser, which was very interesting, to me.

Covers most of the workshop machines.There is also Roy Suttons machining DVD again a bit out of date but much still relevant.
I bought the book on Ebay for £2.80 all in, can get on Amazon or Abe books about the same price.

Cheers for the heads up. I have been in the trade for years and using machinery ever since I started over 40 years but still refer to books every now and then. I use a book by F.E.Sherlock (Machine Woodwork Technology for Hand Woodworkers). Again slightly dated but still had plenty of relevant information.

Yes, I came across that book too, as you reckon on it,I'll check it out, probably only a couple of quid for a few more safety tips I might not be aware of.

I had to make about 80 metres of a profile that was a triangle with one side 110mm and the other 45mm very tricky to make, ended up splitting 6" x 2" but cutting twice over the saw and then finished off with a sled in the thicknesser , easy once I had that set up!
