hi all , just thought id mention a book, its the one with 500 illistrated bowls, cant remember the name, friend of mine has it but anyway its really good got the urge to go play on the lathe asap if only!!!!!

Seen the book advertised,so know the one you mean - haven't got it yet,as I wondered if it was good;will take this as a positive vote, and put it on the shopping list.

I saw the book at craft supplies and was very impressed but cash was in short supply at the time  I will be adding it to my birthday / chrimbo list

Be nice if someone knew the name of it, or had a link.
As a newbie I find designing a form to suit what I want & can achieve with the size of piece can be very challenging.
I have a few books & also the internet (of course), but a book of forms would be great.
I got a book entitled "fabulous turned wood projects" & in my opinion it's total gash - maybe a bit too advanced & fancy for me at this stage.

While you are waiting for the book to arrive look here for ideas.

Also google 'Woodturning Galleries ' and see what turns up

Hope this helps

Pete
