That's something i've never used, Bog Oak! :-k Thousands of years old. Makes you think. :-k:-k:-k

Stunning pen that Steve. What wall thickness are the wood sections?. I notice that pens don`t tend to have parallel bodies is that for comfort when holding or because the walls would be too thin after turning to accomodate the metal fittings?
Steve

Well done Steve, excellent work.
I'm sure Boysie is well chuffed.

Interesting question from gasmansteve about the shapes of the pens - would also be interested to hear the answer.

Malc :D

Nice work Steve.

The choice of kit material and the wood gives a slightly muted but very classy end product - a personal opinion :)

I'm sure Boysie will be delighted.

Regards,

Mike C

hi steve
the wall sections on this pen are a good 2-3mm thick at the centre, as it is a comfort pen (without the rubber bottom) but 1-2mm at either end where it tapers off.
The centre band on a comfort pen is much thicker than a slimline, and i chose this style because i wanted to leave a bit more wood on the body for Eugene to see. I also use the slim line clip end bushing instead of the comfort bushing because i find it gives a better fit.
